We are looking for a Head of Department (w/m/d) to join our Group and lead our IT department, specializing in providing platforms for business applications and data management.

Which tasks will you perform?
- Lead a team of System Engineers, including personnel and budget responsibility
- Provide future-oriented IT platforms for operating business applications and processes within the entire group
- Manage the provision and operation of various database platforms
- Support our developers throughout the software development process with a broad service portfolio
- Provide runtime environments (Docker, Containers, Kubernetes, etc.) and offer hosting services for the stable and secure operation of business applications
- Expand the entire service offering in line with the needs of our partners
- Optimize operations through the use of suitable automation solutions (e.g. Ansible)
- Contribute to shaping the future direction of the team and our company
- Foster a positive team spirit within the department and beyond
- Lead, motivate, and develop subordinate employees
What do we expect from you?
- Ideally have a degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent IT education with several years of professional experience
- Ideally have several years of experience in leading teams or departments
- Possess strong analytical and strategic abilities to make informed decisions
- Have excellent communication skills to inspire and guide others
- Demonstrate a high level of customer orientation to continuously improve our services
- Have good command of German and English
