We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Group and contribute to and support the growing financial management requirements of our campus in Ireland resulting from the growing number of Entities hosted on our campus in recent years.

 

What is the role about?
Are you prepared to merge financial expertise with a dedication to excellence, supporting the Financial Controller and Assistant Financial Controller in Controlling operations and contributing to continuous improvement efforts?
As an Assistant Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our campus, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our operations, and driving process improvements to elevate our performance to new heights.

 

Which tasks will you perform?
You will:

  • Be responsible for administering campus cost allocations, including fleet costs, leases, insurances, pension, payroll, and other overhead costs.
  • Ensure Credit Card reports and out-of-pocket expenses for the Campus are validated, approved, and processed in a timely manner.
  • Manage our vendor payments cycle including invoice oversight. 
  • Support the Rolling Forecast. 
  • Support process improvement projects campus-wide from a Controlling/fulfillment (delivery performance) perspective.
  • Be responsible for intercompany reporting on a monthly and yearly basis (statutory returns like VAT).
  • Play a key role in identifying opportunities for efficiency and process improvement.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with your skills and experience and as directed by your manager in the development of the role and the controlling function.

 
What do we expect from you?
You:

  • Are part qualified in CIMA/ACCA/CPA with a desire to progress to full qualification.
  • Have previous experience in a busy finance environment, demonstrating your ability to thrive in dynamic settings.
  • Possess strong systems aptitude, particularly in MS Office products with an excellent knowledge of Excel; SAP experience is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate excellent numeracy skills, meticulous attention to detail, and exceptional time management, ensuring accurate financial records and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Embrace a customer-focused and action-oriented work ethic, striving for excellence in all endeavors.
  • Are a confident communicator, adept at engaging with multiple stakeholders through various channels.
