What is the role about?
As an Operational Excellence Expert, you will play a critical role in driving sustainable performance improvements across global logistics operations. By leveraging a structured Operational Excellence Model, you will lead and support initiatives focused on continuous improvement, process optimization, and root cause failure analysis (RCFA). Your mission is to enhance service quality, increase efficiency, and reduce operational risk across the logistics network
Which tasks will you perform?
As our OPEX Specialist, you will:
This role will be instrumental in establishing an Operational Excellence culture, with a dual focus on cultural transformation and process excellence. A key strategic pillar will be leveraging digital tool to embed Operational Excellence platform to accelerate the adoption of core practices including:
- Daily management systems
- Strategy deployment
- Standardised work
- Rapid problem solving
- Leadership enablement
- Process improvement project management
Operational Excellence & Digital Integration:
- Develop and deploy an Operational Excellence roadmap built on the E+H values.
- Focus efforts across the pillars of: strategy execution, leadership excellence, employee engagement, process improvement, knowledge sharing, and standardised work.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and learning.
Champion the adoption and implementation of a digital Operational Excellence platform to embed key routines such as:
- Daily tiered huddle boards
- Standard work execution and tracking
- Issue escalation and resolution workflows
- KPI dashboards and root cause analysis
- Strategy-to-execution visual alignment tools
- Any other duties commensurate with your skills and experience and as directed by your manager in the development of the role and the G-LOC.
What do we expect from you?
You bring:
- Experience implementing or supporting Operational Excellence frameworks such as Shingo, TPM, or WCM, with a strong focus on cultural transformation.
- Proven ability to leverage digital platforms to enhance Lean or OpEx programs (e.g., Open Acura, Power BI, custom CI tools).
- Deep understanding of how culture, leadership behaviors, and system design impact sustainable performance.
- Adaptable, with experience in a similar role in a fast-paced and changing environment
- A self-reliant, proactive, structured and careful way of working
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to flex style and be a positive influence
- Professional, friendly and confident in engaging and collaborating with all roles across the organization
- Flexibility in terms of availability and ways of working
- Business language skills English, other language skills are an advantage
