About the Role

We are looking for a technical Field Service Engineer to join our Group, you will play a key role in supporting our customers by installing, commissioning, and maintaining advanced process automation and instrumentation solutions.

 

You’ll provide expert troubleshooting, ensure optimal system performance, and deliver exceptional service that reflects our commitment to quality and innovation. This position involves working on-site with diverse industries, offering technical guidance, and building strong customer relationships.

 

What You’ll Do

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our customers across the South of England. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Commissioning, calibrating, and repairing a wide range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation onsite.
  • Working across diverse industries within our customer base.
  • Coordinating with Service Coordinators to ensure you have the right tools, spares, and paperwork for every job.
  • Building strong relationships with customers—communicating clearly before, during, and after each visit.
  • Adhering to site safety rules and industry best practices, including risk assessments and permit-to-work systems.
  • Providing timely, accurate job reports and supporting other departments as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in Electronics, Instrumentation, or Control—or a recognised apprenticeship in these fields.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Process Control.
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexible, organised, and an excellent communicator.
  • Full UK driving licence.
