Field Service Engineer – Instrumentation / Electrical / Mechanical

Role + Responsibilities

Endress+Hauser are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to cover Scotland. The role requires servicing, commissioning, and fault diagnostics/repair of a range of electronic and mechanical process control instrumentation.

 

Main responsibilities

  • You will develop your electrical skills within our onsite training centre
  • You will be commissioning, calibrating, and repairing onsite measurement instrumentation equipment.
  • You will be working in all industries (Food & Beverage, Water, Oil & Gas, Power & Energy, Chemical, Life Science) within the Company customer database
  • You will be liaising with the Service Coordinators to ensure that all spares, tools and paperwork is available to enable them to carry out their duties
  • You will be adhering to site safety rules, permit to work systems and carry out risk assessments
  • You will be working to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and the Company quality management system
  • You will be required to travel up to 2hours from your home address with periods of absence from home will be expected from time to time which will include overnight stays in hotels
  • You will be providing services and support to other departments and customers as deemed appropriate by the Services Manager

 

 

 

Qualification + Profile

  • Ideally qualified to ONC/HNC level, preferably in Electronics or Instrumentation of control
  • Recognised apprenticeship in the above disciplines is ideal or a minimum of 2 years' Process Control experience
  • Problem solving and diagnostic skills
  • To be highly motivated and have the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
  • A flexible approach to working activities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to develop good working relationships with customers
  • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
  • A clean driving licence
