2nd Shift Material Handler

We are looking for a 2nd Shift Material Handler to join our Group and support our 2nd shift team members in driving World Class Excellence within our Level and Pressure Production Center. Within Level and Pressure Greenwood, we utilize state-of-the-art production techniques and manufacturing technologies to ensure the quality of the instrumentation produced, as well as the safety of employees and the environment.

Which tasks will you perform?  

You will:  

  • Meet the basic requirements of employment by working safely, performing quality work and executing tasks in a timely and efficient manner  
  • Actively maintain 5S standards and keep workspace clean and organized  
  • Adhere to the rules and policies included in the Employee Handbook  
  • Perform receipts of incoming material; verify quantity, condition and receipt accuracy  
  • Cycle count inventory according to defined schedule; make necessary adjustments in order to maintain steady flow of material  
  • Perform timely put-away of received material following First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method  
  • Operate a variety of powered industrial vehicles, i.e. forklift, tugger, order picker, pallet jack etc.  
  • Distribute materials within the facility to support Production work centers; perform all necessary transactions and facilitate efficient lineside presentation by de-trashing, prepping delivery containers  
  • Exemplify a positive customer service experience when responding to requests from other departments  
  • Promote a positive work culture by having a positive attitude and not creating nor engaging in situations that can be considered disrespectful or harmful to the team dynamic  
  • Update the status of completed orders to make them available for packing/shipping  
  • Demonstrate a high attention to detail to perform good quality work  
  • Pack and prepare finished products for shipments  
  • Utilize SAP to perform routine transactions to accurately move materials/products  
  • Create manifests and properly dispatch orders to our customers  
  • Complete required checklists and reports to remain compliant with regulatory agencies and work requirements  
  • Share continuous improvement ideas and promote positive change within the team and within the organization  
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of Lean and identify forms of waste that can be reduced/eliminated from our processes  
  • Communicate effectively within the team and with both internal and external customers   
  • Perform other work duties as necessary   

  

What do we expect from you?​  

You:  

  •  Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively  
  • Must be able to safely operate a variety of powered lift trucks, i.e. forklift, tugger, order picker, pallet jack etc.  
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office  
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn SAP and/or other computer skills   
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.  
  • 1-2 years of Material Handling/Logisitcs experience \
