We are looking for a Master Data Management Specialist to join Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis, the global leader in Raman spectroscopy, tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS), and quenched fluorescence (QF) instrumentation for laboratory, process, and manufacturing environments. Our laser-based analyzer systems perform high-performance chemical composition and concentration measurement of all phases of matter in any installation environment.

 

What is the role about? 

The role of the Master Data Management Specialist is to ensure quality data and reports for our TDLAS/QF and Raman products. The primary responsibility will be to develop and implement lifecycle management of product master data in the current SAP ERP system and two legacy Infor Syteline ERP systems.

 

Which essential functions will you perform?

  • Work with business units and process experts to resolve master data issues.
  • Define project objectives and scopes, create project schedules and Gantt charts. Monitor project progress, summarize outcomes, and effectively communicate status updates and deviations to stakeholders and management.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives across multiple functional areas and regions.
  • Assist business process experts in defining standard operating procedures, process flows and related documentation including equipment record management and spare parts finder tool development.
  • Manage product documentation in a controlled document management system.
  • Update Bill of Materials in relevant ERPs in collaboration with Business Systems department.
  • Develop and report on product line status, contribution margins and sales volumes with Finance and Operations departments.
  • Perform SharePoint Administrator tasks.
  • Facilitating knowledge transfer through training and support of end-users on master data management processes and best practices.

What qualifications are needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, Business system administration, or Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of SAP modules and data structures.
  • Experience with data governance concepts and change management projects regarding master data management.
  • Experience in working in cross-functional groups that include IT, quality, operations, and marketing colleagues.
  • Ability to manage & communicate with stakeholders from different organizational units to develop strategic projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within timelines and budget.
  • Pronounced analytical and conceptual skills, data oriented and strategic mindset.
  • Able to understand and investigate topics related to multiple business areas.
  • Able to efficiently prioritize work and timely inform stakeholders on the progress.
  • Able to work fluently in Microsoft Digital Workplace as a user and as a group owner.
