Quality Assurance Technician

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Group and support our Automation Instrumentation team members in driving World Class Excellence within our Level & Pressure Production Center. Within L&P, we utilize state-of-the-art production techniques and manufacturing technologies to ensure the quality of the instrumentation produced, as well as the safety of employees and the environment.
What is the role about?
This position independently inspects and audits products at various stages of the production process. This position also interprets engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to ensure that product specifications are met.
Which tasks will you perform?
You will:
- Maintains a constant focus on improving systems, processes and performance related to all aspects of quality.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures and systems.
- Investigate customer complaints through 8D process and lead internal problem-solving teams to determine cause(s) and develop systemic corrective actions that will prevent future recurrence.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning, including Process Flow Diagrams, Process FMEAs and Control Plans, as well as in-process inspection procedures.
- Perform product, process and QMS audits and initiate required corrective action with other departments and suppliers.
- Perform maintenance of QA records and calibration system.
- Generate Material Certificates to accompany products produced.
- Assist in the evaluation of product samples.
- Perform first article inspection (FAI) on machined parts and mechanical assemblies.
- Evaluate manufacturing results/assessments and improve testing methods where necessary.
- Lead Material Review Board (MRB) and associated investigations for determining the assignable cause and corrective action.
- Perform piece part inspection using CMM and hand gauges.
- Maintain test result records.
- Perform Data Analysis including generating monthly quality reports, KPI’s.
What do we expect from you?
You:
- Associate’s degree (preferred) or ahigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) along with three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a production or quality role within a manufacturing environment and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
