What is the role about? 

This role is about providing a great customer experience. A project manager is the point of contact for the customer and responsible for working with many of the teams within Endress+Hauser to deliver a complex scope of work. Delivering on our commitments the right way with our customers and meeting our budget for each project is the main goal of the project manager. 

Which tasks will you perform? 

  • Responsible for full ownership of multiple Solutions projects from kick-off to completion 
  • Lead cost reduction and engineering efficiency efforts for all projects 
  • Schedule with the engineering team to ensure high project quality, keeping projects on schedule, and encouraging collaboration/alignment across the team 
  • Use of project management software/tools for all phases of projects ensuring we have the most current bill of materials, drawings, and scope of work during any phase of the project lifecycle 
  • Work with engineering team to make sure engineering standards are followed 
  • Manage incoming orders and delivery dates using SAP 
  • Collaborate with 3rd party suppliers and fabricators to meet delivery dates 
  • Assist the Sales team with pricing and delivery information 
  • Perform other customer activities, including: 
    • Collaborate on project goals and needs to provide the best customer experience 
    • Deliver periodic cost, resource, and scheduling reports 
    • On-site project management services to support project execution 
    • Provide technical knowledge and assistance for customer project inquiries 
    • Understanding and promoting Solutions capabilities 

What do we expect from you? 

You will have (required): 

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a technical field 
  • 3+ years of related experience 
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions of managers, reps, and customers 
  • Travel required: Up to 20%  

You may have (preferred): 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering  
  • 5+ years of related experience 
  • Customer service skills 
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents, P&IDs, and bid specifications 
  • Self-Management: Ability to work and make informed decisions independently and on own initiative 
  • Focus: Prioritize and act in the best interests of the company by advancing organizational goals, focusing on solution-oriented issues, and making clear, decisive choices  
  • Networking: Build and maintain strong, trustworthy business relationships, leveraging long-term partnerships to achieve collective success 
  • Customer Focus: Prioritizes the customer perspective in business decisions by actively seeking to understand customer needs and problems, initiating solutions based on this understanding, and implementing feedback to enhance the overall experience and prevent future issues
