Role + Responsibilities
The purpose of this position is to support the Electrical Engineering department with new product development and sustaining engineering activities.
Major Responsibilities:
- Designing mixed signal circuits, multi-layer circuit boards working within defined mechanical constraints to produce reliable, space efficient boards.
- Schematic capture, layout and all required output files for mixed signal, multi-layer circuit designs.
- Electrical Packaging, Integration of off the shelf components, System Testing.
- Generating all engineering documentation for release to manufacturing.
- Component and system level testing and documentation.
- Sustaining engineering.
Qualification + Profile
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in electrical engineering, with electro-optical design preferred.
- Applied analog and digital design experience.
- Knowledge of embedded hardware design.
- C/C++ programming in embedded systems programming preferred.
- Matlab programming for data analysis and hardware interface experience.
- DSP, Spice simulation experience a plus.
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI design techniques.
- Ability to use standard test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, signal generator).
- Candidate should be a self-starter, possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Schematic and Layout Design with Altium.
- Experience with product design practices.
- The position requires daily work at Endress+Hauser Optical Analysis’ headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
